Family Violence
Is a Community Problem We Can Solve.
As part of the Coalition’s mission to create a community culture that does not tolerate family violence, we are committed to public education initiatives which empower people in our community with the knowledge to “recognize, respond and refer” victims to appropriate resources. We know that isolation is one of the most powerful forms of control abusers use against their victims, and treating family violence as a private matter enables and reinforces that control. However, when we recognize family violence as a community problem that we can solve, we can together break the cycle of violence in homes, schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods throughout our community.
The Coalition can provide educational trainings about the issue of family violence, as well as informational
and resource materials. We are also happy to staff an information and resource display table at your event. For more information, please contact us via email, or call us at 614-722-5985.
