For the first
time in our local history, a group of paid, trained citizens began the
systematic process of tracking and monitoring domestic violence cases
in Franklin County Municipal Court.
In Phase I, CourtWatchers studied more than 1,500 misdemeanor cases with
the goal of improving the criminal justice system’s response to domestic
violence.
