The Center for Child and Family Advocacy

Many individuals and organizations are unable to recognize the signs and symptoms of family violence. By raising their awareness of how to recognize, respond and refer, the Coalition hopes to prevent future acts of family violence from occurring. The dedicated staff and families from St. Stephen's Community House are committed to doing just that!

In 2011, the Coalition and St. Stephen’s entered into a partnership to contract a part-time family violence prevention coordinator to enhance training, education, and outreach efforts amongst staff and families to increase their knowledge of how to recognize, respond and refer in all relevant aspects of family violence. Education and program enhancements are offered through St. Stephen’s Family, Youth and Senior Services programs. During the 2011 Windsor Summer Program, 50 students have received education about violence prevention.
