The Coalition’s Health Care Task Force developed through a collaborative effort with Central Ohio Trauma Systems (COTS) family violence screening protocols that are currently being used countywide by staff persons in hospital emergency departments, urgent care centers and emergency medical service departments to assist victims of family violence. To date over 4200 healthcare providers have been trained in this unified approach. In addition, the Coalition’s health care task force is collaborating to produce a similar protocol that will be used to screen victims of family violence in private physician’s offices.

For more information, or to schedule a training, please call the Health Care Task Force Director at 614-722-5985.
