Long trained to identify and report child abuse, all first-year pediatric residents in Franklin County now receive additional training to recognize and respond to the symptoms of domestic violence. This milestone will improve the screening and identification of abused adults who bring their children in for medical care. This is the first time this comprehensive training has been done in Franklin County.
