Instructional & Interactive Training Tool

The Legal System Task Force began work on the Domestic Violence Response & Instructional Guide: an Interactive Training Tool in November 2007. The web-based training tool can be used by law enforcement, prosecutors, courts and legal professionals as a means of domestic violence education, as a reference source of domestic violence services within our community and as a tool for officers on the scene of a domestic violence call.

Much of the information in the training portions of the program is based on the results of a survey and focus groups of law enforcement and legal professionals. Also, included in the training is the Crime Scene Recreation interactive trainer, video demonstrations and a search engine to be used as a quick reference. Lesson plans are included to assist police agencies in using the program as a domestic violence trainer and/or an on-scene assistant.

To obtain access to the Response & Instructional Guide, please fill out this contact form. Once this form is processed, you will be contacted to gain access. If you would like an in-person presentation on the DV RIG, contact the Coalition at 614-722-5911. When you have received your login credentials, you may use this link to access the Domestic Violence Response & Instructional Guide Interactive Training Tool.

The Quiz Engine was created as a way for police agencies to certify their officers for mandated domestic violence training. Officers may use the Response and Instructional Guide as a domestic violence training which can then be verified by passing the related quizzes. The engine was built in such a way that once an officer passes the quizzes, a certificate will be generated for that officer and sent to their email address. To obtain use of the Quiz Engine, please fill out the DV RIG Request Form. Once this form is processed, you will be contacted to gain access.
