What Every Manager Should Know - the Impact of Domestic Violence on the Workplace

An online course has been developed under a partnership with JPMorgan Chase & Company and the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence’s, Business Community Task Force. The tool is free and available to help raise awareness of the impact of domestic violence in the workplace. This comprehensive two track training course for supervisors/managers and employees, has been designed to enable participants to:

  • Explain what domestic violence is and its impact on the workplace.
  • Recognize employee behaviors or warning signs related to domestic violence.
  • Respond appropriately to employees who show warning signs or report abuse.
  • Refer employees affected by domestic violence to an expert, or to the appropriate specific internal and external resources.
Each course takes approximately 20-25 minutes to complete. To preview a small portion of the course, the slide show below presents several screen shots taken from the managers’ course. Click on the series of thumbnail images to stop the slideshow and view the images individually. The course is available for organizations to access via the web, or if a Learning Managements System is available, a customized disk version of the course can be provided to you.
